“Orquesta SON 9: Canta Gilberto Velez Jr” is the official name of this ten-piece orchestra, nine musicians plus one. The band is new, but the roster of this band is very familiar. Gilberto Velez Jr. has teamed up with local musicians Nerio Matheus, Victor Quezada, Dennis Guevera, Mariano Medina, Luis Soto; “just to name a few”, to form a new and exciting concept. Their repertoire is refreshingly new and classic! Come to experience an amazing night of live music with this new and familiar group!
Gilberto Velez Jr was featured last year at the New York International Salsa Congress as the lead singer on Saturday night! So this band is new but not amateur.
